Pam Pack Math Tournament

Congratulations to the Creekside Math team who won several awards at the Pam Pack Tournament math competition held at Washington High School on Saturday, January 30th including 2nd place Individual category; 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in Overall Individual category; and 1st and 2nd place Overall Team category. 

Team members include (pictured left to right): Caleb Spruill, Gracie Bryant, Mallorie Burke, Tam Phan, Matthew Taylor, Kevin Sorto, Simon Thomas, Sthir Mitra, Dakota Coburn, and Owen Boyd.  The team is coached by Mr. Whit Blanchard, Creekside AIG teacher.  




Young Men of Purpose group hosts Tyrell Clemons

Mr. Tyrell Clemons, owner of and attorney at The Clemons Law Firm, visited Creekside's Young Men of Purpose group on Tuesday, February 16.  He spoke to the group about the importance of giving back to your community.  Thank you, Mr. Clemons, for taking time to visit with our young men!

5th Annual School Spelling Bee

On Thursday, February 18, third, fourth, and fifth grade students competed in the school's fifth annual school spelling bee.  Participants in the bee were the winners and the runners-up of their classroom bees.  The bee lasted eighteen rounds, and the winning word was vague.  First place winner was Matthew Taylor, second place winner was Caleb Van Haelst, and third place winner was Emerson Fipps.  All three students are fifth graders.  Matthew will represent Creekside at the Annual Downeast Regional Spelling Bee in Washington, NC on March 5th.
