Kessel's Krew

Congratulations to Mrs. Kessel's class for all their work to make connections around the world, learn fire safety, and build community here at Creekside!

Her class is participating in Global Read Aloud and making connections with other classes in Houston, Texas and Alberta, Canada using the story The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane by Kate DiCamillo.  They were recognized in The Daily Reflector for this project.

They learned about fire prevention and how to create a Fire Emergency Plan thanks to Fire Marshall, Tony Smart. He did an amazing job teaching the class how quickly a fire can grow and the immediate steps they need to take to protect themselves and everyone in their household.

They have recently posted Free Compliment flyers throughout the school to build positive self-image as well as spread kindness to others.  What a simple and beautiful way to make the world a better place!  Way to go!
