You've Got a Friend In Me

Second graders examined the characteristics of a good friend and shared their writing.  We hope everyone will be friends and get along together!

RAK Week

Students in 4th & 5th grade celebrated Random Acts of Kindness Week February 10-16.  Students were encouraged to perform one random act of kindness every day that week.  Visit the RAK website to learn more!

Dental Health Month

February is Dental Health Month.  Kindergarten & 1st grade students have been learning in the classroom and the media center how to take good care of their teeth.

President's Day

Students in Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade studied George Washington and Abraham Lincoln in celebration of President's Day.  They studied biographical resources, wrote factual papers, and compared and contrasted the two men.

Teaching with Technology

Students all over Creekside learn with a variety of technology!  Here, students in Ms. Moore's 2nd grade class use the SmartBoard and Chromebooks to practice math facts and study other countries.

Amazing Art

Mrs. Malpass teachers students at all grade levels the skills and strategies to create beautiful artwork!  The students' work brightens bulletin boards and walls throughout our school.  Recent work has highlighted what students have learned about the color wheel, artwork inspired by the wintry weather, and Audubon stamps of endangered animals.

States of Matter

Third graders in Mr. Casasanto's class completed projects on the states of matter: solid, liquid, and gas.
