Schoolwide Wall of Gratitude

Students throughout in the school in all grade levels collaborated to create a Wall of Gratitude.  The intent of the wall was to focus on all the things we have to be thankful for instead of rushing through the season of Thanksgiving to focus on the things that we want for Christmas.

Students heard read-alouds and watched videos with the theme of gratitude. They then wrote down things they were grateful for on leaves.  Students placed their leaves on the wall outside the media center to serve as a visual reminder of the many, many blessings in our lives.  Each grade level had a different color and shape of leaf so that students could observe and analyze the number of participants from each grade.
