The students in Mrs. Wiggins' class learned about the life cycle of a pumpkin. They learned that pumpkins grow from a seed, sprout, bloom, and grow a little green pumpkin which gets larger and turns orange over time. In these pictures, her students are examining pumpkin seeds. They estimated how many seeds they thought might be in the pumpkin based on its size. They counted the seeds to check their estimate. Seeds were used to create pumpkin art. Then the pumpkin was carved into a jack-o-lantern in celebration of Halloween.
